Faith in the Public Square: First Things First, Pray

March 19, 2019

by Peter Lillback

On Saturday, March 16th, 2019 Drs. Peter Lillback, Harry Reeder, John Currie, and David Garner spoke at First Presbyterian Church in Bonita Springs Florida for Faith in the Public Square: First Things First, Pray. Drawing on the theme of 1 Timothy 2:1-2, this conference highlighted the foundational importance of prayer for civic life and national renewal. While we can easily overlook prayer as a practical means of civic participation, it is one of the most basic and essential ways that Christians are called to engage the world.

If you were not able to attend the conference, we invite you to listen to the recordings below.

Dr. John Currie — “Priority #1: Prayer for Them . . . and Us!”

Dr. David Garner — “What the Godly Should Expect of the Government”

Dr. Peter Lillback — “Prayer and the Foundations of Our National Government”

Dr. Harry Reeder — “National Awakenings, Revivals, and Reformations”
