McGowan Scholarship Dinner

Last month, Westminster Theological Seminary held a dinner in honor of Charles and Alice McGowan in Nashville, TN. The event marked the establishment of a new MDiv scholarship at Westminster in honor of the McGowan’s impactful ministry in the PCA.

Charles McGowan has served in the PCA for more than 50 years. An ordained minister, McGowan has pastored numerous churches in the PCA, served as the chairman of Mission to North America, and has served as a moderator of the General Assembly as well as many individual presbyteries. In addition, McGowan has also served on the board of directors at Westminster and was a leading figure in the founding of the Nashville campus of Covenant Theological Seminary.

This new scholarship will provide MDiv students at Westminster with four years of tuition coverage. The seminary hopes to be able to provide this scholarship to ten incoming students. All funds raised at the dinner held last month went toward this scholarship.

Westminster is delighted to honor the McGowans’ prolific ministry and provide financial support to our students who are looking to make their own impact in Christian ministry.
